Tagudin bagged 2 Championship Awards in the 2009 Regional Development Council Awards-the Best Performing LGU and Best Practices (”Edukasyon para iti Amin”) in the entire Region 1. It also received the “Hall of Fame” Award for Best Practices as it won the same award for 3 consecutive years, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

ASAP Mayor Hon. Roque S. Verzosa, Jr. together with Hon. Vice Mayor Rogelio Lorenzana, SBM Neopito Galang, Dr. Buenafe Medrano (District Supervisor), Dr. Edgar Llanes (TNHS), Dr. Ederlina Sumail (ISPSC), Ms. Norma Castro (TISTF), MLGOO Mr. Manuel Dumagpi and Ms. Claudine Valdez, Information Officer II received the Championship Trophies, February 24, 2010 at Rose Bowl Steakhouse and Restaurant, Pagdalagan Sur, Bauang, La Union.

These awards were given by the RDC with Chairman Gov. Deogracias Savellano , Dir. Leonardo Quitos, Jr.- RDC Vice Chair and RCSD Vice Chair Dir. Samuel Penafiel.
