Weaving. Weaving or tagud is one of the industries and sources of
income of this Municipality. Tagud is the term where the name Tagudin is derived
from. The tagud is a tool used in weaving. |

Fishing. Tagudin is blessed with rich aquatic life, that’s why
fishing is one of the main sources of income of Tagudinians. It is also a
recipient of the seasonal catch of fish locally known as “ipon” which is a
delicacy among Ilocanos. |

Farming. Farming is the town's primary source of income. Tagudin is
one among the major rice and crop-producing municipalities in the province. The
total area planted with rice include 2,877 hectares of agricultural land with a
total production of 12,673.84 metric tons. |

Quarrying. The Amburayan River and the municipality shoreline are the
areas of quarrying activities. From basic construction materials to decorative
stones, quarrying has been providing modest opportunities for lots of people. |
